What is EsteLux ™ PhotoFacial?
EsteLux ™ PhotoFacial rejuvenation treatments
are a series of treatments done with Intense Pulsed Light
(IPL) used to treat a variety of facial conditions including
unwanted facial redness or blood vessels as well as unwanted
brown discolorations, including rosacea, telangectasia
(spider veins) melasma (brown spots). This exciting treatment
provides remarkable results with little or no down time,
using light energy.
Is the treatment painful?
Cooling lotion is applied to the skin during treatment,
and there is a mild stinging sensation. A mild sunburn-like
sensation is expected afterward. This usually lasts 2-24
hours. There may be some mild swelling or redness which
usually subsides in 2-3 days.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on the areas being treated and the severity
of the condition. Dr Mendelsohn will be happy to discuss
this with you in detail prior to scheduling your treatments.
